Dear fellow resident or business owner in the Maritime District,

We would like to hereby invite you to the third edition of “Christmas in the Harbor.”
This time it will take place in and on the two pontoons on the water off Wijnhaven 61, near the Willem de Kooning Academy.
It will take place on Friday evening, Dec. 20, between 6:00-22:00 p.m.

Come join us with your neighbors, friends, partner, family or colleagues! You may want to take a more active role in the neighborhood yourself or have specific questions/ideas/problems you’d like to share with us? We provide the Christmas atmosphere so everyone can meet informally in an atmospheric setting. Of course, the event also lends itself perfectly to a VVE or residents’ association to celebrate their end-of-year moment together here; there is plenty of space and we provide the atmosphere and decor.

We organize and finance this free event together with various organizations active in our neighborhood with the aim of getting to know each other better and making the neighborhood even nicer together. The Red Apple Marina and Stichting Erfgoedhavens Rotterdam are happy to contribute to this and are this evening’s guest location with their two pontoons. The newest pontoon, called “The Aquarium” will be officially visitable for the first time this evening, so be sure to come take a look at what’s going on under the water here:-)!

We hope you will actively bring this event to the attention of your neighbors, colleagues and friends. After all, it is an excellent way to experience the beautiful Wine Harbor again in a different way. Santa and his elf will also be present again. There will be a silent Christmas disco, a mini-Karaoke and, of course, drinks and delicious snert!

Free 2 refreshments per person if you register at https://maritiemdistrict.nl/kerst/ before December 18 a.m. More info on program etc. will also follow on this weblink in the coming period. Pre-registration is appreciated so organization can better prepare, but is not necessary to attend the event. The event is partially covered outside and heated inside, of course!

There is plenty to do, including:
– Live music performances – a benefit concert for the victims of Valencia!
– Meet the real Santa Claus and his elf
– All kinds of maritime and Old Dutch games
– Visit both pontoons and discover the underwater world in a whole new way
– Above all, lots of Christmas spirit, mulled wine and pea soup available

We hope to welcome you too in a month or so (again)!

Sincerely,
The Board of the Maritime District Foundation
