About Heritage Ports Rotterdam

The Rotterdam Heritage Harbors Foundation manages the inner city harbors from Schiedamsedijk to Oostmaaslaan and part of historic Delfshaven.

We are talking about the Leuvehaven, Bierhaven, Rederijhaven, Scheepmakershaven, Wijnhaven, Oude Haven, Haringvliet, Boerengat, Buizengat in Rotterdam center as well as the Voorhaven and Aelbrechtskolk in Historic Delfshaven.

The section from Leuvehaven to Haringvliet is located in the Maritime District. Many of these harbors provide berths for historic (sailing) commercial vessels. These are commercial vessels 50 years old and older, with a historic hull, which is in original condition or being restored.

Moorings are offered based on a number of criteria (see under “Moorings”). Other parts of the harbors are set up for a marina, sloop harbor, a transient marina for pleasure boats and berths for non-historic ships and lodge boats and catering facilities.

At the foot of the White House in the Old Port, the King’s Gate slipway is located where the (conservation) work also takes place. The Leuvehaven houses mainly ships from the Maritime Museum’s collection.
